BANGALORE: The Tenpin Bowling Federation of India TBF (I) on Saturday amended its constitution in consonance with the tenure and age guidelines of the Union Sports Ministry.
As per the amended constitution, ratified by the annual general meeting held here, the president can hold office for a maximum of 12 years with or without a break, the secretary-general can serve a maximum of eight years at one go while its office-bearers, including the treasurer, will all retire after attaining the age of 70 years.

Chia retained: The AGM, chaired by TBF (I) president Karti P Chidambaram, also retained the services of National coach Allan Chia for 2011. Chia will now also work with the federation to broad base the sport in the country.
To attain the 2014 goals, the federation has decided to provide the best facilities to top players.
"We will ensure that we provide our best players with the maximum exposure possible through travel, training and tournaments. We will continue to work with the Union Sports Ministry and the corporate sector to raise funds for this," the federation said in a release.
It was also decided to launch the National junior championship and the inaugural meet will be held from June 15-19 in Bangalore. Gurgaon will host the team Nationals from March 6-12 while the Nationals will be held from September 18-26. The venue of the Nationals will be finalised later.
